Track the efforts of sanitation districts and waste management agencies in the region to improve sewage and solid-waste management infrastructure. Participate in interagency coordination meetings where applicable to identify opportunities for the County to support such efforts.
Benefits: Evaluation and improvement of existing undersized or inadequate sewage and solid-waste management infrastructure could lessen the occurrences of floodwater contamination, thereby reducing the spread of pollution and degraded water quality.
