Climate Emergency Mobilization Task Force Application Instructions
Thank you for your interest in serving on the Sacramento County Climate Emergency Mobilization Task Force. We welcome your application and commitment to climate action in Sacramento County.
We invite anyone to apply who supports the County’s climate goals and who has a commitment to collaboration, equity, and partnerships in advancing public policy. Task Force members will be provided compensation of $70 per meeting and must complete ethics training and file annual financial disclosures related to conflict of interest.
There are three application pathways: one for people with technical, academic or scientific expertise in the areas of air quality, built environment, transit / transportation, economics, energy, and agriculture; one for Environmental Justice leaders; and one for youth ages 16-23. Residency in Sacramento County is not required; however, Environmental Justice leaders should serve communities in Sacramento County and youth should attend school in Sacramento County.
Applicants should fill in the appropriate online application for the position you are interested in representing (i.e., Technical, Environmental Justice, or Student / Youth). Applications are tailored to each position, and request information about the applicant, education and volunteer / leadership history, and references, as well as a personal statement of 350 words or less that reflects the applicant’s experience related to climate change and building consensus around complex issues.
