​​Freeport Regional Water Project and Vineyard Surface Water Treatment Plant

To supply surface water from​ the Sacramento River to customers, the Freeport Regional Water Project is a cooperative effort of Sacramento County Water Authority and the East Bay Municipal Utility District. By increasing surface water usage the project will reduce groundwater use in wet and normal hydrologic years and allow the underlying aquifer to replenish.
