Sustainability Dashboard

The Sustainability Dashboard details the Climate Action Plan (CAP) measures and provides updated implementation narratives for each measure as well as status indicators for every supporting action.

On November 6, 2024, the Board of Supervisors unanimously approved the October 2024 Final Sacramento County Climate Action Plan (CAP) which includes measures and actions to reduce GHG emissions and increase climate resilience. Each measure in the CAP includes at least one implementing action:

·         Measure: Sector-specific strategies that are achieved through individual implementation actions

·         Action: Specific policies, programs, or tools that support CAP measure achievement

The measures in the CAP are separated into three categories: community mitigation, government operations mitigation, and climate adaptation. Each mitigation measure and action addresses a specific emissions source (e.g., on-road vehicles, residential building energy, etc.) while each adaptation measure and action addresses a climate hazard (e.g., flooding, wildfire, etc.).

The Dashboard will be updated periodically as progress is made on the measures and actions.
